Stylish Suppers and Lunches

Do-Ahead Recipes for Everyday & Special Days

...a new collection of very easy, get-ahead and flavoursome recipes which are a feast for the eyes too! Perfect for enjoying everyday and for casual entertaining over the winter months.

There will be plenty of tips and shortcuts along the way, with suggestions for stylishly presenting them ---- all of which aim to help make cooking as stress-free and enjoyable as possible! Most of the recipes can be prepared in advance, so there’s minimum running around and washing-up at the last minute!

HOW THE MORNING WORKS… The demonstration will start promptly at 10.00am with coffee served from 9.30am onwards (not before!) and last for approximately 2½ - 3 hours. The format is an informal morning when I demonstrate a variety of different recipes. The small size of the group encourages cookery queries that I hope I can answer!

All the food that is cooked is eaten amongst the group and suffices as a light lunch. Everyone will receive a folder of the recipes to take away and (hopefully!) lots of shortcuts, tricks and tips for the future, for both experienced and less confident cooks alike.

If you would prefer to book by telephone please kindly ring Karen or Jane, during normal office hours, on 01668 215 200 with card details.

Demonstration location

Wooler,
Northumberland

Directions

FROM THE NORTH
Take the A697 Coldstream road to Wooler. Do not turn off this road into the centre of Wooler. Take the left-hand B6348 turning signed Chatton & Belford which is just past the petrol station. Go along there for approximately 3 miles past (not over!) a beautiful bridge on your left and up a very steep hill until you come to a left-hand turn, down the side of a wood, signed Fowberry Tower and West Lyham. There is also a large blue sign saying Weak Bridge etc. Take this turning and after about a mile you come to said bridge. Go over the bridge and Hetton House is the only house on the right behind a stone wall. There is a cottage opposite the entrance, on the left.

FROM THE SOUTH
Take A697 signed to Wooler & Coldstream off the A1, north of Morpeth After roughly ½ hr take right turn signed Lilburn Grange, Chillingham Chatton. You will also see a white “cow” on a brown sign. This is cow no.1. Stay on this road, following 2 more brown cow signs and after 0.8 of a mile when you come to a sharp left-hand bend, keep following the road round to the left, signed Chatton 2 ½ . Follow this road for just over a mile and take the first left turn, which is on the apex of a right hand bend. At the end of that little road (0.7 of a mile) go straight on where it joins the main road. Just over ½ mile (0.6m) along there take the first right turn, down by the side of a wood, signed Fowberry Tower & West Lyham. There is also a large blue sign saying Weak Bridge etc. After approx 1 mile you will come to said narrow bridge. Go OVER the bridge and Hetton House is the only house on the right, behind a stone wall. There is a cottage opposite the entrance, on the left.
